September often is Oregon's warmest month reflecting summer more than fall. In early September raft, swim and extend your summer for a little longer on the North Umpqua. There is still time to catch Crater Lake National Park before the snows. The waterfalls may not be as full as spring but they are still beautiful. The fall colors now replace all the beautiful wild flowers and create a new colorful beauty along the highway. Hunting season starts. For the sportsman this is the perfect time of year for them. Hike, fish, hunt, river raft or just relax, play pool, read a book, watch TV or videos. Labor Day weekend is perfect on the North Umpqua you need to book early.
